The Roots Music Festival, whose eighteenth edition was held from 22 to 26 September this year brings Murcia traditional Mediterranean sounds to encourage the early fall.

The Festival is established as a part of the cultural programs of the city that now features in the 2009 edition after the September Fair, a new experience that musically illustrates the beginning of the academic year and the normalization of everyday life Murcia after the summer.

The location of the festival in the Plaza del Teatro Romea has provided a unique setting for the event.
