The Deputy Government inaugurates the school year at the Institute of Floridablanca Murcia (16/09/2009)

Commends the role of youth in voluntary movements, in promoting the culture and their concern for the environment

The government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has been commissioned to inaugurate this week the school year at the Institute of Secondary and Floridablanca in Murcia.

Speaking at the ceremony, attended by more than a hundred teachers, pupils and parents of the Institute, González Tovar has talked about the importance of the political role in democratic society and the necessary training in civic values youth.

The Government delegate praised the important role youth play active in voluntary movements, solidarity and defense of nature in our society and claimed that these will remain committed to the values that drive the progress of society and that make it more free and fair.

"We must recover the policy for citizens, said González Tovar-and do it with facts."

Therefore stressed the civic values that we promote among young people, including stressed "equality, generosity, honesty, tolerance, solidarity and above all commitment to the plight of others."

He also explained that schools should play a major role in teaching these democratic values.

The education system, has expressed to "provide quality education, becoming more instrumental skills, math, language, history, language or cognitive science, and more artistic and emotional.

The opening ceremony of the school year was held in the auditorium of Institute of Floridablanca in Murcia and was chaired by its director, Fernando Ureña, also attended by the Director of the High Inspectorate of the Government delegation, Juan Antonio Gómez Marín.
