The Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, read last night the cry of the holidays of 2009 Cabezo de Torres.
In his speech, the Minister toured the historic hamlet of Murcia, whose beginnings lie in the Middle Ages around a lift, the 'head', which takes the name we now know from the Torres family.
In the conquest of Murcia, this family accompanied King Alfonso X, who were granted these lands as recognition and payment for their services.
José Ballesta also recalled how the input was Prince Alfonso in 1243, and conducted a sociological analysis of Murcia from that time until today, evoking their customs and traditions, with the help of poets like Abenarabi, Gerardo Diego, Ramón Gaya or Jorge Guillén.
