The history of the neighborhoods of Murcia, star of the routes 'Get Guide' (13/09/2009)

The guided tour program 'Take the Lead' of the Department of Tourism will bring the street's history of the neighborhoods of Murcia for participants in this activity know legends and secrets of the streets.

Los Barrios

The neighborhood of San Lorenzo is the star of the route to be held on 24 October and 14 November.

The neighborhoods of San Pedro and Santa Catalina will visit on 31 October.

The participants will find these beautiful neighborhoods with unique places and buildings like the contrast of the Silk, the home of the Marquis de Espinardo or Palarea House.

They also will tour the ancient gate of the Customs and the history of the guild of carpenters, who grew up artists like Salzillo and Pedro Flores.

This route starts at 10 am.

Nature

The CEMACAM (Torre Guil) is one of the places to be visited.

There will be activities related to climate change, renewable energy and bioclimatic architecture.

This visit will take place on 3 October and 21 November.

This route starts at 9.30 am and part of the Tourist Information Point Belluga.

Nature lovers will also have the opportunity to visit the center Columbares Source, located in the heart of the Sierra de Columbares.

This route is celebrated on November 7, participants will learn the vegetation characteristic of Mediterranean forest, scrub and semi-arid environment characteristic of dense pine forests in the shade of Columbares.

This route starts at 9.30 am.

Folklore and crafts

The folk group Aljufía will host this visit to be held on 16 October and 27 November.

The group will greet visitors at its headquarters in The Albatalía to show his research, introducing the world of the bands of musicians, dances and traditional dress orchard.
