Murcia City Council will keep all jobs ORA vigilantes under the new terms of reference governing the service of regulation and control of parking on public roads.
The reduction of parking spaces covered by this service in about 1,000 to have created more space for pedestrians could impact a reduction of jobs in regard to the guards of parking (a total of 60).
However, the government team in order to preserve these jobs, has chosen to keep staff engaged.
So, they decide to lower the annual fee to the amount of 50,000 euros and choose a longer repayment term (7 years) to support a smaller financial burden.
Today, with the reduction of about 1,000 parking spaces gained for pedestrians, the number of places for the ORA is of 5,537 (2,911 pitches, including work zone and other 2,626 residents).
The new contract will come into force shortly after the provisional award today by the Governing Board for providing this service to the Parking and Services Company SA
