Today begins the deadline to participate in the II graffiti to decorate twenty electrical transformers in the area south of the city.
The event, organized by the Department of Environment and Urban Quality, Youth and Employment, which direct-Cache Adela Martinez and Maria Dolores Sánchez, respectively, along with Urbamusa and Iberdrola Distribución Eléctrica SAU aims to integrate in the urban centers of transformation and beautify the landscape.
Participants can compete individually or collectively presenting his unpublished sketches (maximum three) until September 30, 2009.
Participation of young people born between January 1, 1979 and December 31, 1993.
Participants must be registered in the municipality of Murcia or study in a school in the municipality.
The issue of graffiti should be:
-Monuments, plazas, buildings and gardens emblematic of Murcia
"Hydraulics of the garden and natural sites of interest of the municipality
"Anthropology of the Huerta de Murcia
Festivals and customs, typical of Murcia
-Famous people and historic town
"Issues related to Environment and Sustainable Development
The winners will receive 600 euros and will have to do their work in an electrical transformer.
The jury will select the winning entries will be composed of representatives of the City, Urbamusa and Iberdrola, and value criteria of creativity, artistic quality, materials and consistent with the public space of the installation.
The jury will select the best sketch for each electrical transformer station.
Participants should note that the attached sketch that included painting graffiti on the four sides of the transformer, the sketch will have a maximum size of DIN A-4 and presented on the technique chosen by the participant (watercolors, acrylics, printer, etc..), the work will be including the City logo, Urbamusa and Iberdrola.
In addition, the organization will provide the necessary primer and a voucher for 120 euros for the purchase of material used to make graffiti.
The winners will have to do the graffiti within 15 days from the date determined by the organization.
Unpublished work presented at the Municipal Youth Services, located on the street chronicler Carlos Valcárcel (compared Tennis Club), at a time from 9.30 to 14 hours.
There will be an envelope addressed to present the jury with the registration form, photocopy of ID card, sketch of the works, curiculum the participant or group and CD with images in JPG.
Last year the competition involved 16 youths who had 52 jobs.
