Work on the third lane of South Round has come to an end.
The City Council has completed this past weekend jobs.
Early Friday to Saturday asphalted the section of the bridge over the railway (on the side of the road) from the roundabout Artist Almela Costa (Media Markt) to the intersection with Progress Avenue, and on Saturday night painting was completed and signaled that section.
This bridge has been repaired and reinforced with concrete and iron to increase its capacity and safety.
The opening round of the third lane of South can increase its capacity by 30% and can absorb 40,000 vehicles per day, 10,000 more than before work.
The Department of José Arce does this work in order to improve circulation and safety in the area.
The Consistory allocated 1.4 million euros to this project.
