That school education is not limited only to the classroom.
This is the objective of the program of educational offerings, which in the 2009/2010 academic year consists of a total of 349 activities that involve more than 70,000 students from around 180 schools in the municipality.
This publication is available to the citizens a wide range of resources offered by the city to promote the formation of values and practice of citizenship, respect, tolerance, responsibility, promotion and development among its citizens through the meeting, participation and training.
Another objective is met is to provide the educational community resources, programs and educational activities for all levels of education that can complement and enrich the curriculum in response to demands that the LOE provides educational.
The educational offer includes programs and activities of previous years and introduces new initiatives that respond to the need to meet the growing demand by teachers and students.
On the one hand, for the 2009/2010 school year, thirteen Municipal Services (Auditorium and Cultural Centers, Social Welfare, Quality and Modernization of the Administration, Culture, Sports, Education, Employment, Youth, street cleaning and waste collection, Environmental Protection , Health, Social Services and Tourism & Conventions) offered a total of 289 activities and programs in collaboration with various institutions and public and private groups, using the resources offered by the city and planning activities that contribute to training, promotion and development citizen's rights, citizenship and equality.
62 activities have been offered more than the previous year (227), representing a 21.5% increase.
To this must be added the 60 activities organized by the Department of Education.
Last year 60,000 students were participating in some of these activities, thus reaching 96% of schools in the municipality.
Educational provision planned for this school year 2009-2010 allows to cover all levels, ensuring the allocation of at least one activity per school unit, this would imply the possibility of meeting some 70,132 pupils and 2,886 activities.
Nature and the Environment:
The objectives of environmental education are based on the sensitivity and respect for the conservation of the landscape, the physical environment and living environment along with the study of environmental pollution factors.
Expression and Communication
The knowledge of different artistic codes help students to start in the perception and understanding of the world around them and widening the possibilities of expression and communication with others.
Using the resources provided artistic languages, promotes initiative, imagination and creativity, as we learn to respect other ways of thought and expression.

Pinguin: Activity intended to pupils from kindergarten (3 and 4 years), which replaces the previous year represented "Pocosueño."
