The doctoral thesis at the Department of Spanish Language, Linguistics and Translation at the University of Murcia José Alberto Sánchez Griñán concluded with a series of proposals to improve the teaching of Spanish in China.
The proposals consist of adaptations of existing materials, both Chinese and Spanish, and creation of tasks and communicative activities.
This research, which was led by Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Arts, José María Jiménez Cano, also analyzes the main obstacles to communicative teaching in China has faced.
Among these obstacles are cited the evaluation system, lack of coordination between Chinese and native teachers and lack of teacher training.
