The young artist Ruben Murcia Zambudio is the author of this year's poster, presented today by the council of Festivals and Popular Culture, Rafael Gomez.

Over these forty years have seen the confederations that bind to the festival organizers, associations of different folk groups.

Therefore, the Festival of Folklore in the Mediterranean at this time poses a goal integrator between the different federations keeping its doors open to all, based solely on the quality factor for the selection of participating groups.

The festival has as general objectives the approximation of folklore to the public making it easy and fun, join the nature of modernity to tradition, providing the festival with more cultural content and to study and promote the city of Murcia, customs and heritage .

We propose to make the city live on stage and continued through the empowerment of the parade and the lighting of "the torch of friendship", performances in streets and squares and off the stage and a series of parallel activities at festival give that touch of modernity, study and cultural content that raise awareness to all citizens who have a tradition and a culture typically Mediterranean.

For this, the festival will consist of choirs and dance groups performing on different streets and squares as well as the headquarters of the festival stage, exhibitions that will complement and will equip the festival its foundation and rationale.
