The University of Murcia will collaborate with the Center for Biomedical Research on Rare Diseases (05/08/2009)

Murcia University will collaborate with the Center for Biomedical Research on Rare Diseases (CIBERER), according to the terms of the agreement approved by the Governing Council of this educational institution.

CIBER is a consortium formed in November 2006, based in Valencia, which aims to promote and cooperate in scientific research and development and transfer knowledge to society.

The Governing Council also approved the cooperation agreement to sign with the city of Murcia for the use and development of Service facilities Firefighting and Rescue.

Finally, it has given its approval to the partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture to conduct a research on the genetic characterization of the Chato Murciano pig breed using molecular markers.

Moreover, the proposal of the Vice President for Research, has been awarded the two squares researchers plan to incorporate the university, which went to Vanessa Roldan Shcilling and Francisco Javier Gómez Marín-Blázquez.
