About a thousand tickets sold for the first season of opera Regional Auditorium (26/07/2009)

The first season of opera to the Auditorium and Congress Center "Victor Villegas" de Murcia, which will start in December with 'Tosca' by Puccini, and involving different artists from Murcia, recently completed its ticket sales, which amounted to 970.

As of August 1, tickets can be purchased over the Internet, and from 1 September in the Auditorium box office.

The season consists of four major productions, among which is the aforementioned work of Puccini, a Scottish Opera production, with stage direction by Anthony Besh, and the cycle will begin on December 13 at 19:00.

In addition, the January 30, 2009, at 20:00 pm, the Auditorium will host 'Carmen' by Bizet, with production of the Foundation Villamaría Sherry Theatre and stage direction by Francisco López.

On 20 February at 20:00 will be the turn of 'Don Pasquale "by Donizetti, with Festival Opera production of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria" Alfredo Kraus' and artistic direction Carreres Curro.

Finally, on May 9 at 19:00 pm and represent 'The Magic Flute' by Mozart, with production of the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and stage director Joan Font (Comediants).

As for the artists from Murcia to participate in the cycle, are the tenor Antonio Lozano, who debuted in Valencia, and has already performed at the Liceu in Barcelona, soprano Gloria Sanchez and Consuelo Garres.

To these must be added the voices of young Cristina Sanchez and Carmen Muñoz, students from the Conservatory of Murcia, as well as that of Emiliano Avilés, Cartagena baritone based in Albacete.

There will also be present Murcia actors whose names include that of Juan Bastida (in the role of Pastia Lilas in 'Carmen') and Antonio MM (as a butler in 'Don Pasquale').

For its part, will take part the choirs of the Kodaly Choir, directed by José Bermejo, in 'Tosca' by Puccini, and Fernandez Caballero Choir, directed by Margarita Muñoz, in 'Carmen' by Bizet.

Other actors, actresses and dancers will join Murcia in the future to participate in figuration, and for which selection is made new castings and auditions will be announced properly.

In addition, the Symphony Orchestra of Murcia play all the works.

Prices range between 20 and 75 euros for single tickets.

There will be discounts for pensioners and 30 percent unemployed and for young people under 25, for which tickets will be 6 euros.
