Industrial Engineers will use electronic means for submitting projects Urbanism (24/07/2009)

The Town Planning Councillor, Fernando Berberena, and the Dean of the College of Industrial Engineers, Pedro Jiménez Mompeán, this morning signed a collaboration agreement for the engineers to submit projects in the Urban Planning telematically.

The objective of this initiative is to facilitate the process, streamline licensing and save paper.

Through this collaboration, planning and the Official College of Industrial Engineering will launch a pilot project that schools can obtain visas from their jobs through the network securely and then to deliver in Urban electronically, saving time and costs in processing these documents.

Berberena explained that the signing of this agreement and the entry into force of the new ordinance to streamline administrative procedures in licensing activity, we can ensure that from 1 September and no later than 15 days a trade or business environmental report need not obtain its business license and be able to open.

The Planning Department will receive the documents approved by the Institute and will remove the physical file of paper documents, saving paper and space.

Urban has already launched such initiatives with the Official College of Architects, the Association of Telecommunications Engineers and the Association of Industrial Engineers.
