Adopted 28 kilometers of new roads will improve access in the north (23/07/2009)

The Full Council of Murcia, with votes in favor of PP and PSOE and IU abstaining, gave final approval to the Common Infrastructure Plan to widen sections of the north, which includes the construction of 28 kilometers of roads to improve circulation in the area and provide access to new developments.

This ambitious project involves the construction of ten roads, sewerage, stormwater and wastewater network, water network, electricity grid, natural gas and telecommunications.

The aim is to create a ring road in the north to allow for rapid mobility between areas of new development and with great ability.

At the same time, enhanced access to the motorway A-7 and A-30, creating three new blogs.

Based on the existing infrastructure in the area have adequate infrastructure planned new urban development and tertiary expected in the area.

The new road will be constructed between the north coast, the variant proposed by Building A-7 (Alicante-Andalucía), the current A-7, the future Ronda de Levante (A-7 to Reguerón) and highway Altorreal .

Improving circulation and access to the future North Park, shopping centers and Thader New Condomina, Cabeza de Torres, Montepinar, The Esparragal and new developments to be built in the environment.

This special plan has a total area of 17 million square meters.

The scheme designed by Urban road is made based on existing roads in the area.

The special plan includes the construction of 10 roads totaling 28 kilometers in length.

The two main roads will be the VC, which rises in the A-30 (to match Altorreal road) crosses the new developments in the north (parallel to the future Arch-A-30 west to C-415 ") to A-7 (a mile above Cabezo de Torres).

This road will connect with the North Coast and form a large ring that closes the new developments in the west.

The second major road is the VT-2, which is perpendicular to the first and runs from north to south, linking the future with the Coastal Arc North West, the head height of Torres.

From these two major roads are developed further eight new areas across the north-south and east to west.

The new road will cross the A-7 with five bridges that will, one at the height of the unfolding of Cabezo de Torres, three more from the knot of Cabezo de Torres and Juan de Bourbon and the last near the road Altorreal.

In addition, when the Ministry assigns the A-7 and run Round Levante, there will be three new entrances to the A-7, the first one a mile above the junction Cabezo de Torres (direction Alicante), the next between Cabezo de Torres and Juan de Borbón junction and one on the A-30, near the road Altorreal.

The new road will have two lanes and bike lanes (one in each direction).

The roundabouts will have three lanes in each direction and bike lanes.

In addition, the plan includes the construction of new reservoirs for water supply, construction of storm tanks not to overload the sewerage system downstream and two new collectors, one near Cabezo de Torres and another to the height of the Trail Granada.

Will construct a new substation near the A-7 (southeast), which will connect with New Condomina and Espinardo to ensure supply to the entire area, and installed gas pipes and telecommunications at the same time you are done new roads.

The main objective is that new developments in the north have all the infrastructure and all services are guaranteed.

The total estimated cost of this project (roads and infrastructure services) is 125 million euros to be financed from the development sectors in the area.
