Planning and the College of Architects put up three projects for citizens to contribute their views of the city (22/07/2009)

The Planning Department and the College of Architects of Murcia (COAMU) have started the cycle I interact in order for citizens to contribute their views of the city of Murcia at the same time they express their worries and concerns.

This first cycle is part of project activities Aleop!

I Do Optimistic ideas and Arquiágora platform, and is divided into three different proposals in which citizens can participate freely.

The program will run from September 2009 to February 2010 and is open to all people, adults, who want it.

Registration is free and can be made on page www.interactuacionesmurcia.es .

The best proposals will receive a prize.

The Councillor for Planning and Urban Design, Fernando Berberena, and the Dean of the College of Architects, Francis Road, presented this morning the initiative.

The proposed activities are:

The city captured

The goal is for participants to offer views of the city other than as perceived in reality.

Citizens may take photographic images with cameras, mobile phones or through filters and reflections on different terms to those seen in normal circumstances the human eye.

The purpose of this activity is that the city is 'captured' images resulting from an observation of it by unconventional means.

From the images we learn that the urban environment can be thought of differently than what we see day after day.

Moreover, the images will highlight problems that may not be aware and we will announce the other side of the city.

Location wandering

It is proposed that each participant chooses a particular place in the city result of their experience.

The comparison of all sites will establish common places, urban locations than interest.

Do we share specific locations selected among millions of corners in our city with more people without being aware of it?

People who register for this activity will be convened by e-mail to a meeting in the city, on a specific date.

They receive an object that will be placed in your chosen location and take a picture.

All participants will receive the same object.

The reasons that lead participants to choose a site will be free but will have to notify the organization to set up common conclusions.

Itineraries absent

Part I

This interaction is aimed at collecting non-existent city tours today.

Participants are required to prepare a text that tell first-person and present your experience in a non-existent route in the urban fabric.

Must describe in detail the buildings look, equipment, people, feelings, etc.

with the aim of transferring it to the reality as nearly as possible.

The visions told in non-existent paths provide a rich and varied list of details and scenarios on how the city would improve as urban according to the vision of people who live there.

Part II

In this second part is to illustrate the stories collected in Part I.

The addition of illustrations complement the routes and give a rich and varied list of details and scenarios on how the city could be lived.

Participants may use the technique they choose to illustrate their work as sculpture, photographs, audiovisual, artistic compositions, etc.
