With the intention to provide citizens with detailed information about what their duties, rights and what are the offers and services which are in the market, the Governing Board of the City of Murcia has this morning approved the hiring of various services to Murcia Federation of Housewives, Consumers and Users.
One of the actions to be carried out is aimed at the consumer workshops in non-university schools, some actions are being carried out from the Municipal Office of Consumer Information in schools through an agreement with the Autonomous Community.
The period of execution of the workshops on consumption is the first quarter of 2009-2010.
Training activities will also be conducted through lectures and handing out information at schools until the end of December 2009.
According to forecasts, will be between 15 and 25 talks in about 50 centers around.
Activities will focus on students:
Gain awareness of their role as consumers.
Know your consumer rights and evaluate the measures to protect themselves.
Educating for responsible consumption, offsetting the influence of advertising campaigns that launch the media.
Know the risks and dangers to be found in everyday situations and learn to avoid them.
The activities are to be promoted are: stories, poetry, organized games that require cooperation, drama, discussion forums, activities that allow students to investigate the reality and depth in ways most appropriate for use, use and enjoyment of goods, products and services offered on the market.
Actions aimed at senior centers aim to treat various current issues, such as electricity in the liberalized framework, consumer protection and criminal d users to crimes of fraud solutions to all questions about telecommunications and like any other topic that is of particular interest to the general population.
