The director general of Tourism, Angel Campos, today chaired the ceremony for the distinction of commitment to continuous improvement of the Spanish Tourism Quality Destinations (SICTED) received a total of 73 shops in the center of the city of Murcia .
Campos gave this distinction and recognition to the president of the Merchants' Association Center Murcia, Antonio Gonzalez, representing 73 stores and services from the center of the city of Murcia, which are visited touristic sites, the Palace of Congresses, taxis, restaurants, the Convention Bureau, tourist shops, hotels and holiday apartments, car rental companies, other services, as well as tour guides.
During the ceremony SICTED plate, which was also attended by councilors of Tourism and Trade of the City of Murcia, María Isabel Valcárcel and Antonio Castillo, respectively, Campos noted that "the mutual cooperation of all the agents of fate and commitment continued to contribute to tourist satisfaction are the best weapons to enhance the image of the Region of Murcia as a destination for quality inside and outside our borders. "
The Integrated System of Spanish Tourism Quality (SICTED) is a project that promotes a region as a whole and that is objects that tourists perceive a uniform level of quality in the different elements and actors that make up the tourism in the Region Murcia.
This project involves, first, the segments already developed within the Spanish Tourism Quality System eligible for the Q for Quality, such as hotels, restaurants, tourism offices and convention.
Moreover, as in this case, welcomed the new subsectors, whose brand name is Tourist Quality Commitment and not governed by the same parameters as the Q, and small businesses, car rental, tourist guides, taxis, craftsmen, companies sports and leisure activities, professional congress organizers, museums, public transport, cleaning and security, among others.
