The judoka from the UCAM, Leyre Iglesias, achieved bronze in the Mediterranean Games (08/07/2009)

The athlete of the UCAM, Leyre Iglesias, won the bronze medal in judo, defeating the Algerian Kahina Hadid, the Mediterranean Games held recently in the Italian city of Pescara.

A new international success of Churches in addition to the Diploma Olympic judoka achieved by the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Worth noting is the bronze won by the player table tennis at the Catholic University, Jesus Cantero, in the mixed doubles category, which was matched by the player at the University of Barcelona, Sara Ramirez, during the World University Games , currently being held in Belgrade.
