A professor at the University of Murcia made a doctoral thesis on romantic images in Greek poetry (26/06/2009)

The study of romantic images in Greek poetry, from ancient times until today, has been the subject of study for doctoral thesis at the University of Murcia by Professor Christopher Pagan Cánovas, Greek Studies Area.

This research, led by Professors Mariano Valverde and Alicia Morales, is part of a larger project of Pagan for which it has been awarded a grant "Marie Curie" of the European Union.

With this grant, Professor Christopher Pagan remain two years at a university in San Diego (United States) to work with one of the leading researchers in cognitive linguistics worldwide, Mark Turner.

Moreover, within the Odysseus Project, dissemination and promotion of modern Greek, who heads the University of Murcia, next Monday at the nursing homes in the neighborhood of San Basilio de Murcia, will be a workshop of Greek dancing.
