Summer schools are held in municipal wards and parishes |
In order to offer less than the municipality the opportunity to participate in various recreational and leisure activities during the summer months, the city of Murcia in the departments of Education, Social Welfare, Social Services and Festivals and Popular Culture have organized a total of 97 summer schools.
These activities will start next Wednesday, June 24 and lasted until 31 August.
All summer school programs will be developed in areas like municipal agencies in villages.
In addition to offering a program of leisure for the less of the municipality, the aim of these summer schools is to provide a supplement to training, at the same time that reconcile work and family life of those parents who work during this holiday period children.
Social Welfare
The idea is that mothers and fathers who work, are a public resource where they can be served their children according to the principles of the Law 39/99 of 5 November Reconciling family and professional life of working people.
It is intended that children and adolescents to perform a range of leisure and free time as workshops, excursions, sports and games in general, the participants develop social relations, respect for others and the environment.
Since this service has been organized two summer schools to be held from 1 to 31 July and from 1 to 31 August.
There are a total of 200 places for children aged between 3and 16 years of age.
Hours are from 8:00 to 13:30 without a dining room and from 8:00 to 17:00 hours on high.
The activities, which develop in the Integrated Centre for Children, are:
Support / tutoring.
To conduct during the first hour of the morning (summer homework).
Garden Activity Center.
Collection care and garden products.
Board games, water, indoor, outdoor sports games.
body language, theater
plastic activities related to astronomy
trips to the beach, pool, museum, library.
Social Services
The number of summer schools this year amounted to 42, 39 of which are organized by the council and three in collaboration with associations and voluntary groups.
The total number of seats amounts to 1,864, of which 1,312 places to go IPO, the remaining places will be the Social Services reserves to meet the needs of those children who are participating in programs of the Department throughout the year.
Of the 39 summer schools that are organized by the council, 33 are organized exclusively from Social Services, six joint with the Department of Celebrations and Popular Culture, with the following distribution by Department of Social Services:

Of the 39 summer schools, 25 are held in districts and 14 in the town.
In Bacons Bridge and Beniaján dining places are offered, extending the hours to 17 hours.
In Espinardo, Javalí Viejo, and San Andrés Alquerías hours will be from 8:30 to 14 hours
Moreover, it is noteworthy that have booked through an agreement with the association ASPANPAL seven seats for children with hearing problems at various summer schools.
The partnership will provide monitors for better integration of these children in summer school.
The allocation of places will be made by public ballot on 23 June at 11 hours in each Social Services Center.
The draw will be made by letter, lists of approved and accepted will be posted at registration sites.
Dates of summer school is 1 to July 21 from 1 to 24 July 1 to July 31.

From Social Services are managed camp places a week in July, for those children involved in intervention programs and lack of economic resources or other circumstances justifying assistance to these camps.
The contracted number of places this summer amounts to 130.
Summer Schools will be free, except Bacons Bridge and Beniaján where minors who use the room will have to pay the amount thereof.
The recipients are less the municipality of between 6 and 12 years in some summer schools are offered places for children from age 3 (Bacons Bridge, Javalí Viejo, San Andres, Beniaján and Stables) and the other specific will be for teens ages 13 to 16 years.
Education
From the Department of Education has facilitated the use of center facilities and Primary Education to carry out, during the month of July 2009 Summer School aimed at schoolchildren in the municipality with the aim to offer activities leisure to complete their training and provide parents a complementary education in times in which they work.

Municipal services (27 schools): Seven organized by cultural centers, 20 social services (for the latter those in the centers Bacons Bridge Infanta Cristina, Our Lady of Fuensanta Beniaján and San Juan de Murcia, are family conciliation from 8 to 17 hours).
ASTRAPACE (a school).

Of the 52 schools, 13 will be held in the town and 38 villages.

Festivals and Popular Culture
A total of 1560 children under 28 may participate in the Summer School organized by the council of Festivals and Popular Culture, led by Rafael Gomez.
The contents of these activities include workshops on environment, theater, dance, visual arts, sports, movies, cooking, experiments, astronomy, stories, diversity, outings and trips to Terra Natura down the river Segura, ice skating in Elche, Lorca workshop time, Tabernas theme park, salt of San Pedro, sierra mining and visits to the Aquarium of the university, science museum and water, etc.
Activities will be held from 1 to 21 of July, with daily schedule of 10-13 hours Monday through Friday.
