Rafael Amargo Belluga close the VI Festival with his show "Time Out" (22/06/2009)

The music and dance performances, free access, will start at 22 am |

The imposing facade of the cathedral will be the backdrop for the VI Belluga Festival, organized by the Foundation and the City CajaMurcia.

As in previous editions, music and dance will again be the protagonists of four essential appointments, all freely accessible, inviting the viewer to approach, from 2 to 14 July to Belluga Plaza to enjoy the night Summer in our city and a high quality cultural programming.

The appointments will take place on Thursday and Tuesday of the first half of July and will begin at 22 am.

The festival opens this sixth day 2 with the Symphonic Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, has already become one of the most prestigious orchestras in the country.

Under the baton of its music director, Jose Miguel Rodilla, will give a concert with pieces by Khachaturian and Shostakovich, two great Russian composers of the twentieth century.

For its part, Thursday 9, Symphony Orchestra del Teatro Castelar, directed by Octavio J.

Peidró and with the collaboration of soloist Yolanda Marín Valencia, will perform a program with great pop-rock hits of the 60, 70, 80 and 90 in the symphonic version of such outstanding performers as The Beatles, Mariah Carey, Mecano, Gloria Estefan , and J. Amaral

The ballet will arrive on Tuesday 7 with the Russian Imperial Ballet, founded in 1994 by renowned dancer Maya Plisetskaya, who will stage Scheherazade & Bolero.

Rafael Amargo is responsible for closing the festival on 14 with his new show, Time Out, the returning to its most flamenco essence.
