The Deputy Mayor of Education and Personal, Pilar Megía, has participated this morning in the race solidarity that has organized the CEIP Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente to raise funds for the purchase of a bus for a group of children in the Philippines.
These children live and work in a garbage dump and go to school in a truck.
This initiative is organized with an English school St. Thomas Aquinas in Milton Keynes, who has also made a career of solidarity at the center.
Under the name "Running: A for the bus! / Run for the bus", the schools Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente has had this morning with the participation of the entire educational community (parents, teachers and students).
So far they have raised 800 euros, but will continue to collect contributions until next Tuesday, June 23.
The race solidarity has taken in the garden Artist Peter Flores, has been effected by age group and Pilar Megía has been commissioned to provide the outputs to different races.
The head of Education thanked the initiative of the school, a fact which shows the character more supportive of Murcia, while he thanked the center for inviting her to participate in the march.
