Ten professors and senior lecturers of the University of Murcia took up office today during a ceremony held in the convalescence and was chaired by the rector of the institution, José Antonio Cobacho.

The new professors are Juan Antonio Garcia, Toxicology, Matthew Alajarín, Organic Chemistry, Nicholas Antonio Campos, Translation and Interpretation, José María Gómez, Analysis and Regional Geography Alfonso Garcia, Cell Biology.

Also proceeded to the appointment of five full professors, in particular, Emilio Torrente, Theoretical Physics, Sergio Estrada, Applied Mathematics, Maria Mar Cerezo, Logic and Philosophy of Science, Óscar Cánovas, Architecture and Computer Technology and Diego Romero, Toxicology.

The Rector congratulated the new teachers and stressed the importance of such acts for the institution he leads.

The event was attended, along with family of teachers, academic and other members of the university community.
