to provide solutions |

The Department of Employment, headed María Dolores Sánchez, conducted a study of the economic situation of the municipality in order to meet the current and developing initiatives that generate employment.

It is ultimately about understanding the causes of the current situation and address issues that can improve the problems associated with it.

The autonomous region has created local employment commissions to improve the economic and social development of municipalities through the stimulation of local economic and employment growth.

The municipality of Murcia is part of the commission Huerta de Murcia, next to Sewell, Beniel and Santomera.

The proposed study by the city of Murcia is intended to give the keys to change the dynamics of job loss.

Another aim is to provide a complete and updated knowledge of the socioeconomic status of the territories for the commission Huerta de Murcia, determine the short and medium term for this area and identify the actions needed to achieve the objectives.

The study will include a diagnostic phase is to analyze the population, economic activity, SMEs, employment sites, enterprise distribution, employment policies, etc..

The second phase, field work will consist in the analysis of existing documentation by qualitative and quantitative techniques (interviews, workshops, analysis of best practices, etc).

The third phase will design an action plan to improve the utilization of internal resources of the territory of the commission Huerta de Murcia, identify gaps that exist and propose guidelines to follow to promote productive activity and employment and improve human resources training.

The last phase will involve the disclosure and monitoring of project results.

The Governing Board today approved the request from the Regional Employment Service and Training grant for this study, which involves an investment of more than 49,000 euros.

For the purposes of this report will be hired a company specializing in this type of work.
