The City will continue to provide full support to women victims of domestic violence to overcome their situation, thanks to an agreement signed with the Ministry of Social Policy, by which the City will receive a grant of 133,000 euros.
The main purpose is to accommodate and meet the needs of women victims of domestic violence and their children under 18 years, providing a comprehensive and encouraging the media to help them rebuild their lives.
This will give them protection, room and board, counseling and career counseling.
In addition, hire an agent for equity and engage in activities which encourage equal opportunities between men and women, as the sharing of family responsibilities, the association and participation and conduct of meetings and forums for discussion on current situation women in all areas.
