El Centro Municipal Puertas de Castilla celebrated the 25 anniversary of the design team Continuum (16/06/2009)

El Centro Municipal Puertas de Castilla hosts, from now until Sept. 4, a sample that marks the 25th anniversary of Affective Contiuum design group.

The exhibition "Continuum.

Shared Memory 'includes more than 145 objects and pieces by Francisco Alcazar and Antonio Garcia, creator of the group, and other creative friends and maintained a relationship with them such as Juan Antonio Sánchez Morales, Francisco Martínez Almagro, José María Vicente, Patricia Espinosa, Health Duran, Michael Bloom, 4 Stripes, Francisco Jaramillo, Alejandro Escalante, Mercedes González Alberdi, Ignacio Oliva, Alessandro Giuseppe Zuliani, Rocco, Carlos Rodriguez, Hermann Reimer, Gabriella Giandelli, Cehegín School and Workshop Regional Training Workshop .

The exhibition will see a variety of objects such as paintings, sculpture, industrial design sketches (clothing, vases ...), as well as earrings, necklaces, rings, pendants, lamps, rugs, architectural plans, designed objects Seville Expo 92 ...

Affective Continuum achieved its international significance to the production of a series of objects characterized by a very personal language, halfway between art and design.

Created utilitarian objects capable of creating a relationship / communication with the viewer / user beyond function, whose bill was industrial but away from the formal conventions of the serial production of the functional design of the eighties.

This group, whose headquarters was Murcia, became more extensive with several friends who supported and worked with them and whose works are also part of this exhibition.
