The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, will open tomorrow in Murcia (at 9:30 am, Auditorium and Congress Center Victor Villegas) the XXVII National Irrigation Congress, held through Thursday under the slogan 'The irrigation motor development and food supply. "
The Congress will address a total of 78 papers divided into four main sections: Agrohidrología, agricultural water, drainage, salinity, irrigation, environmental impacts, Engineering and Law irrigation, irrigation management and economics.
The expected participation of some 500 people, most of technicians and experts in this field (engineers, biologists, irrigation specialists, economists and lawyers, among others), schools from agricultural engineers from academia and Administration .
Lawmakers also made available on 18 visits a number of irrigation facilities cover the fields of Cartagena, companies manufacturing irrigation equipment, the experimental farm of El Mirador and a sewage generation, to know the systems on site reuse of water by farmers.
In the auditorium will also be an exhibition of machinery and last elements of organized irrigation technology companies.
The Congress is held every year in a community since 1982 and was held in Murcia in 1985 and 1999.
