PSOE: "They continue to neighborhood complaints about the lack of inspection and uncoordinated municipal works" (15/06/2009)

On Wednesday, the Socialist Group, through its Councilman Jose Zapata called on the government in La Glorieta about the lack of inspection, coordination and signs with which the PP is managing the works being carried out on the town and are causing no little discomfort in the daily life of citizens and pedestrians.

This time, residents of Cartagena Street have expressed concerns about the work of replacement of sidewalks and the way in which the contractor of these works is clear of debris.

It destroyed the old pavement and the remains dumped in a truck which, in turn, discharge into a parcel located at the beginning of Calle Cartagena, where the debris comes and invades the A30 motorway access (in the image attached).

When this plot is full of debris move it again, load it into another truck and taken to the corresponding landfill.

Why not take to the dump at the first road and prevented residents of the area's double helping of dust, asks Zapata.

The information neighbors have already contacted the company awarded the contract, have kicked the municipal departments and nobody gives a solution, some of whom are older people who suffer respiratory problems.

Another example of the 'bold' planning which the PP is carrying out works in the case of the sidewalks of the Gran Via Murcia.

Pedestrians are forced to wait for the bus and bring up the lights in the middle of road, even in the bus lane, which is also fenced for the works (attached picture taken last Friday to 20.30).

Other complaints, says the mayor of the PSOE, is running with the patience of the people that pass daily through the Ronda Sur.

Continuous traffic jams caused by the famous "works of El Escorial ', which consist-ironic Zapata-one meters in expanding the two carriageways of this round.

"These are just some examples of inefficiency and lack of coordination with which they are planning and executing the municipal works by the camera team," concludes Zapata, who returns to ask the municipal government to try to mitigate as far as possible , nuisances and hazards that are causing citizens.
