The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Angel Botia Chamber, delivered a moving opening speech last night to kick out to the festivities of Llano de Brujas, in honor of St. Peter the Apostle.
The event gathered around 500 residents of the hamlet, who also used the occasion for the appointment of the Queens of the holidays.
The Mayor said during his opening speech that "generations of farmers and huertanos struggled to establish their homes here, channeled the river flooded land dried up and managed to raise a village Realengo.
