The University of Murcia participate in the dissemination of the Court of Arbitration of the Chamber of Commerce (11/06/2009)

The University of Murcia assist in the promotion and dissemination of the Court of Arbitration of the Chamber of Commerce as a means of conflict resolution, according to the agreement signed today in convalescence, home of the Chancellor.

The agreement, signed by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, and President cameral, Pedro García-Balibrea, includes the development of actions among the students of the Faculty of Law to learn about the powers of this court of arbitration.

These actions will be channeled through his own School and the School of Legal Practice.

In the act of signing the agreement, the associate dean of law Soro White, and Dean, Esperanza Orihuela, expressed their satisfaction with it and forward it to the next course already scheduled outreach activities of the court of arbitration.

For its part, the president of this figure created for the resolution of discrepancies, Salvador Huertas, said that it may contribute to the speedy resolution of the conflict, adding that her confidence has grown in recent years, as evidenced the fact that matters have come to be aired in quantities exceeding one million euros.

Balibrea Garcia said that "from the Chamber of Commerce, which is trying to be helpful, to serve, and we believe this figure is very important for that."

The president referred to the importance of compromise and arbitration and noted as a curiosity that her last class in this course as a professor of Civil Law has been dedicated to these issues.
