The University of Murcia has begun implementing the Strategic Plan following its adoption by the Governing Council of the institution and after the Senate has been briefed on its contents and has the favorable report of the Social Council.
The University provides participants with a new instrument that will serve as a reference and guide their actions with an eye toward achieving certain objectives.
The document covers the three main missions of the university who are teaching, research and dissemination and knowledge transfer.
The strategy contained in the Plan resulting in hundreds of projects to make with the horizon of 2012 and is structured in a set of actions.
Plan out a study of the current state of the University and its situation with respect to universities in the environment, to conduct a foresight exercise to determine the scenario that you find in the future.
The document also contains a commitment to the development of the Region of Murcia and the need to encourage quality in teaching, research and service.
To perform this work has had the participation of more than three hundred people from the various university bodies, and coordination has been in charge of the Office of Strategic Management, with teachers Fernando Paniagua Martin and Enrique at the top.
