The mayor gives the awards to schools and colleges most committed to the environment (05/06/2009)

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, today presented awards to the winners of the municipal contests convened on the occasion of the commemoration of the Municipal Environment.

In a ceremony held at the Plenary Hall, who also attended the council of the Environment and Education, Adela Martinez-Cacho, Pilar Megía respectively Chamber has awarded various prizes for the best papers submitted to the contest posters for schools, green schools and the competition on climate change strategies.

POSTERS FOR SCHOOLS:

The 13 students who have been selected in the top of the competition held by the Department of Education on the occasion of World Environment Day received a bicycle and a diploma.

In addition, the schools whose students have been awarded first prize in each of the 5 categories have been handed over a batch of books and a plaque.

Category 1 (1 st and 2 nd grade):

1st Prize: Work: "Recycling should also be tradition," presented by Alejandro Obregón Buendía, the Colegio Santa Joaquina de Vedruna of Murcia.

2 nd Prize: Work: "Murcia no pollution," presented by Antonio Gil Egea CEIP student of Antonio Delgado Dorrego, Sangonera la Verde.

3rd Prize: Work: "Bikes do not pollute, use them," presented by Herminio Cortes Moreno, CEIP Nuestra Señora de La Paz.

Category 2 (3 rd and 4 th grade):

1st Prize: Work: "Protecting the environment is taking care of our hearts," presented by Andrea Cortes Cerezo, CEIP Nuestra Señora de La Paz.

2 nd Prize: Work: "I dream of all we throw the gum in the bin", presented by RICHARD FERNANDEZ FRANCISCO, CEIP student of Our Lady of La Paz, Murcia.

3rd Prize: Work: "Do not pollute!

3 ª Category (5 th and 6 th grade):

1st Prize: Work: "El Majal Blanco, cleaner, is a great lung of oxygen for Murcia", presented by Julián Hernández Alcántara, Antonio Delgado CEIP Dorrego, Sangonera la Verde.

2 nd Prize: Work: "This car runs on solar and lunar to avoid contamination," presented by Sebastian Fernandez, CEIP Nuestra Señora de La Paz.

3rd Prize: Work: "If you want the environment is well, take care of you too," presented by Mary Poves Ortín, College of Our Lady of the Fuensanta.

Category 4 (1 º and 2 º ESO)

1st Prize: Work: "If you want, you can.

Recycle! "Presented by Adrian Ruiz Hernández, José Plans IES Espinardo.

2 nd Prize: Artwork: "Dirty Clean VS" presented by Miriam Brocal Vicente, IES José Plans Espinardo.

3rd Prize: Work: "Recycle in four containers," presented by Rocío Gómez Hernández, José Plans IES Espinardo.

5 th category (3 º and 4 º ESO)

1st Prize: Work: "There is life after you," presented by Marina Aldeguer Aznar, Juan Carlos I. IES

GREEN SCHOOLS AWARD WINNERS

The CEIP Virgen de la Fuensanta of La Alberca and Our Lady's Old Monteagudo highlighted at this year's Green Schools event convened by the City.

This initiative aims to develop habits that help students better understand those concepts related to environmental education, especially in responsible consumption, waste, alternative energy, etc.

The program is aimed at all preschools, primary and secondary school and its development involves the participation of all members of the educational community: teachers, pupils, parents and management team.

Water, energy, waste and noise are the priority issue to work centers, but each school determines, in its interests, the aspect that interests you to work throughout the course.

The two centers of excellence with the "Green School Award" received a diploma and a cash prize of 600 euros, to be spent on the conduct of proceedings involving environmental improvements for the center.

At 21 schools have also participated in the Green Schools Programme have been given a certificate of recognition for the work they are developing.

Finally, Tey Teng Chuan was awarded first prize in the competition for amateurs and professionals convened by the Department of Environment and Urban Quality for the paper "Sustainable Mobility", in which values such as nature, sustainability and peace, as do transport for sustainable mobility. The first prize is worth € 1,000 and a commemorative plaque.
