A total of 235 students from schools in the Huerta de Murcia tomorrow plan to participate in planting a billion trees in the corner of Beniscornia Soto (Murcia) in the Segura basin (CHS) sensitize younger than the need to conserve ecosystems closer, as in this case, the river Segura.
Activity planned by the CHS part school years 3, 4 and 5 of Primary Schools Our Lady of Mercy (Puebla de Soto), Our Lady of the Angels (Rincón de Seca), Cyprian Galea (La Nora); Contraparada (Javalí New) and Hellin de las Heras (Javalí Viejo).
Many of these students have already participated in this same initiative last year, so you can see how the plants that are planted in June 2008 and have established and are in good health.
Students will receive the necessary material for plantations of trees native to the area in the old bed of the river Segura in its passage through the Beniscornia corner, a bend that has been written off after the indictment made in the 80's century past, and that the CHS is recovering environmentally to make place for recreation of the residents of the area.
In gratitude for the cooperation shown by these centers, responsible for the CHS delivered to the school a diploma, clothing and educational material on the Segura basin, while teachers will accompany them on the books and maps to Segura file are incorporated into their respective colleges.
Thus, the CHS wants to raise awareness among students, who are the future of this basin, the need to preserve and improve the ecosystems around us, including the River Segura, the great backbone of Spanish and South, through the efforts of all government and citizens, has ceased to be a sewer to become the main focus of its flora and fauna of the Middle and Lower Vegas.
