The Planning Department of the City of Murcia and the Official College of Architects of Murcia (COAMU) join forces to create the project Aleop!, The First Forum of Ideas Optimistic society which aims to contribute positive ideas to improve the quality of life, employment and living space in the municipality of Murcia.
The primary key of the project is to provide optimistic ideas without criticism or reproach, "propose" versus "being against," said Councilman Urbanism, Fernando Berberena.
The director of this project is the architect Manuel Clavel Rojo Murcia, a member of the Board of COAMU.
The objectives of this forum are:
"Positive approach to proposals
-Identify opportunities for citizens, professionals, politicians and businesses in times of crisis
To generate excitement and stimulate collective action
-Evidence that the ideas will never be in crisis and that the region is capable of generating
-Create a place of sharing ideas with citizens' forums, political and economic
The developmental stages of the project are:
1 - Neighborhood associations and propose problems (opportunities) of their surroundings (urban type, social, economic ...).
The aim is to strengthen the role of citizens' associations as a valid and active as a detector of problems and opportunities.
This series of initiatives will become a 'Mapping of opportunity', a document that forward the vision of the needs of citizens from their own point of view.
All proposals must have a positive approach.
2 - Of all the proposals, a Multidisciplinary Scientific Committee will select six ideas.
These proposals will receive a cash prize.
The six proposals will become the subject of study in various universities in Spain (Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid, Universidad Europea de Madrid, Granada, Valencia, Murcia ...).
So thousands of people work on projects of social interest.
Winning proposals will be selected and awarded prizes.
The final session of this great workshop will be held in a sports hall of Murcia where the greatest number of students will work both on these proposals.

The ultimate goal is to export the model to other parts of the Region, municipalities and countries, generating collaboration and exchange.
In addition, we are working to enlist the support of all political forces to get opposing views and be able to agree to support the essence of the project: the value of good ideas and optimism.
This project is launched today with the presentation to the media and the conference of the Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, to be held this afternoon, at 20 pm in the College of Architects of Murcia.
In terms of deadlines, in June the project will be presented to the Boards and Neighborhood Associations in July be received and will select the proposals to be submitted end of July the website and the contest will be held optimistic views via the web.
