UPyD in the Murcia region welcomes the roundtable at the University of Murcia (01/06/2009)

From Unión Progreso y Democracia students appreciate the invitation and welcome the initiative to organize an event in which they prevailed participation, communication, information and ultimately democracy.

The players table has been occupied by Cristina Gutiérrez-Cortines, the Popular Party, Socialist Party Gloria Martín, Pedro Marset, United Left, and Manuel Hernández Iglesias, UPyD Spokesperson and Coordinator in the Region of Murcia.

The moderator has been distributing the shift to respond to questions, both students of the Faculty, and guests as spectators of different political parties, have been formulating the four political representatives.

As to the questions addressed to Manuel Hernandez, they have begun to Bologna, one of the issues of greatest concern to students, and has been demonstrated by the care they showed to listen to different opinions.

In this case Manuel Hernandez has been clear: yes Bologna, Bologna but the original document, not "the adulteration of the first document."

Manuel Hernandez has also responded to comments transparency of a student's ideas UPyD described as "some right and others left."

UPyD spokesman has described as "empty tags" and "anachronistic approaches' the ratings on the left or right.

Likewise has used the Regional Coordinator to make clear the responsibility and strength of UPyD on issues such as U.S. embargo on Cuba or the possible inclusion of new countries to the European Union.

In these respects Manuel Hernandez insisted on such concepts as "democracy," "human rights" and "freedom."

In another time of the act, Manuel Hernández has made mention of "shameful directive", as known to the European return directive that allows the imprisonment of immigrants up to 18 months with no rights or warranties.

When criticized for PP and PSOE, present at the event, support for the directive in Brussels, the audience spontaneously broke into applause.

Finally, the Speaker has called the vote UPyD for training led by Rosa Díez, adding that "the important thing is, over who votéis, you to vote.

And most of you vote, that if you do not do it to a political party that is the political arm of a terrorist organization, "referring to international initiatives.

In short, a commendable act, by its organization and objectivity, the students of the Faculty of Arts and a cause for celebration for Unión Progreso y Democracia, because we find that the invitation from the students indicated the interest that the political project rise among young people.
