The regional government has approved an investment of eight million euros to Murcia Science Park Foundation to be used for the creation and development of new public infrastructure to support R & D + i in the complex located in the district of Murcia Espinardo.
The objective of the Government, through the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research, is to fund the necessary actions to carry out the project of rehabilitation of buildings T and D Murcia Science Park, whose term ends in summer run 2011.
This investment is aimed at the business location, research groups and R + D + i, which will provide exclusive space for their activities and common areas and services.
With this support, the Science Park will have new public infrastructures that support R & D + i for the creation and development of innovative knowledge-based, with the involvement of the university environment.
This fulfills the objectives set both the Master Plan for High-Tech Innovation 2008-2013 as in the Industrial Plan for the Region of Murcia 2008-2013.
The aim of the Science Park is to provide Murcia System Science, Technology, Business and Society an area of excellence, able to lay a solid foundation for the development, transfer and promotion of scientific and technological activities, creating synergies for development of multidisciplinary research.
More than 232,000 euros for the dissemination of technological content
In addition, the Governing Council has approved a grant of 232,800 euros to the Association of Engineers of the Region to implement the technology spreading Infotec project, whose purpose is to convey to the society of Murcia the importance of innovation as an engine of economic growth and social.
