The City Council increased emissions controls telephone antennas (27/05/2009)

The City Council increased emissions controls telephone antennas in order to ensure the safety of the population and improve public information on the emission levels of mobile antennas providing updated data.

The Governing Board has given approval to three specifications for the procurement of radio map of the municipality, the monitoring service 24 hours in levels of electromagnetic fields attractions of the town and a regular campaign of measurements of levels electromagnetic fields.

The radio map shows the levels of electromagnetic fields as closely as possible in all municipalities.

The map is a map of the city with different colors depending on the margins of field levels.

For mapping first perform a theoretical simulation software after entering data such as location, transmission power, orientation, height of buildings, terrain, etc.

performed a theoretical calculation of the level that exists in all municipalities.

Subsequently, a vehicle will travel the city with a GPS so that each measure is associated with the position being performed.

These data are entered in the theoretical simulation software.

The radio map will provide a theoretical result adjusted for actual measurements.

The Consistory will invest 30,200 euros in this project.

The measurement campaign is sensitive centers in the study of the level of electromagnetic emissions in a particular environment.

Detailed information will be obtained actual emission levels at sensitive points such as public parks, nursery schools, senior centers, schools, etc.

The initiative will invest 30,250 euros.

24 hours monitoring involves measurement of electromagnetic emissions in a certain part of town with a team that is installed permanently in a place of interest.

The result is a graph showing the variability in time of electromagnetic emissions at a single point.

This initiative seeks emissions reporting function of time, so that the results will have to do with the calls at all times.

The investment made by the City is 36,300 euros.

These three new instruments will be implemented as complementary measures to the municipal ordinance regulating the installation and operation of radio infrastructure, which is originally approved.
