Jose "El Frances" presents his latest album in the new issue of 'Murcia Flamenco' (25/05/2009)

All performances are free entrance until full capacity

José 'El Francés' present his new album in the Murcia Flamenco Festival, organized by the Foundation Cajamurcia with the aim of promoting a renewed vision of gender and to inform the young hopefuls who innovate and at the same time perpetuate the art of flamenco.

The appointment will be on Thursday May 28, at 20 am in the Aula de Cultura de Murcia (Gran Vía, 23).

Born in a race and pitched his caravan gypsy nomads in the south of France, hence the nickname, "Jose" El Frances "belongs to a generation, along with Ketama, Pata Negra, Poison or Navajita Plateá, who has dared to chagrin of their elders, mixing flamenco with pop, ballads and even Cuban music.

And that flamenco or nuevo flamenco-fusion is, for years now, part of the heritage and richness of flamenco.

Joseph "The French"-who, with his first album, "The Streets of San Blas" became an idol, has written songs for artists such as El Potito, Pepe de Lucía and Camarón even, whom he composed a song for his latest album, and collaborated with Nina Pastori and Laura Pausini.

Murcia Flamenco Festival, established itself as one of the most important annual events in the world of flamenco, will also present one of the great discoveries for flamenco dance: Lucía Álvarez "La Piñon ', winner of the latest edition of Competition Flemish Youth, held in Seville.

With the show a bit, which combines singing, music and dance, 'La Piñon' will open the Festival on Tuesday 26 May.

On this occasion dance accompanied by the percussion of Israel Mera "Catacombs", the touch of Jesus Guerrero and the voice of Francisco Contreras' El Niño de Elche ", a young singer who already has to his credit with prestigious awards such as those achieved in the Calasparra festivals, Lo-Ferro and La Union, percussion

Playing the guitar to arrive on Wednesday 27 May with the spectacle Young flamenco guitar by Luigi Simona, José Antonio Sánchez, Francisco Gonzalez and Manuel León, students from the Conservatory of Music Manuel Murcia Massotti acting under the artistic direction of Charles Piñana.

In his concert will be accompanied by the voice, the drawer and the palms of Francis Light, the percussion of Miguel Angel Orengo and dancing of Christopher Muñoz.

All performances, free entrance until full capacity, will take place at 20 hours.
