The painting competition "Flowers and books," organized by the Department of Social Welfare, reaches its 7 th edition and aims to unite again two artistic activities like painting and literature, both practiced by many women in the municipality.
This contest is part of cultural promotion activities carried out in the Department of Women of the municipality and has the momentum of the Foundation of Friends of Reading.
The next day, May 25, 2009, at 19.00 the exhibition opens the Painting Competition of "Flowers and Books" in the Women's Center of St. Pius X, S. Colony Square
Esteban.
In this opening ceremony will announce the verdict of the jury and the works will be exhibited from 25 to 29 May from 10am to 12 hours and 18-20 hours.
The jury is composed of artists, painters, writers of Murcia.
Three prizes will be awarded, the first of 300 € donated by the Department of Social Welfare, Gender Equality Policies and Citizenship, and the second and third of 200 € and 100 € respectively, donated by the Department of Culture and European Programmes.
