The Feast of the Three Cultures of music fills the city with 23 performances over 24 hours (22/05/2009)

The streets and squares of Murcia overflow morning sounds and songs.

This afternoon, at 20 hours, comes the Feast of the Three Cultures, which will run until midnight Saturday.

In total will be 23 performances to be held in an almost straight landmarks of the city for just over 24 hours, by 19 artists and music groups coming from 17 different countries on five continents.

Thus, the Festival Murcia Tres Culturas becomes, for the second year, one of the few examples that can be found in Spain to be closed with a party that lasts 24 hours.

The shows will take place in 18 different venues in the city of which seven are new: the churches of Santa Catalina, Santa Eulalia, San Nicolás, San Lorenzo and San Pedro, the basement of the Plaza de Toros and the Pergola de San Basilio.

As in previous Feast of the Three Cultures, both the start and the end of the conference will take place on the street and the Plaza Basabé Belluga.

Also will be held the series 'Sacred Polyphony of the Three Cultures' and Symphony Orchestra will perform in the Region of Murcia, though not his usual director.

Conduct occurring after midnight on Friday and taking place on the afternoon of Saturday will be held in closed space, thus allowing local break.

This edition of the Festival of Three Cultures is special because it combines two anniversaries: first the festival, which is ten years, and, secondly, the Murcia Alquibla company celebrating its Silver Jubilee.

Qibla celebrate its 25 years in the Artillery Barracks, in a musical and dramatic journey, recalling the importance of musical compositions Salvador Martinez has done to their shows.

Will stage a concert in which music sounds Saravasti Quartet and Evil Eye and the songs in the voices of the actors in the company, all accompanied by projected images of some of the shows Alquibla.

This edition of the Festival of Three Cultures started with acting, Basabé Street at 20 pm, Kilema, one of the leading exponents of Malagasy music, originally from Madagascar.

Later in the Plaza de Europa, the five women inside the High Atlas to Marrakech B'net bring up their traditional Berber spectacle of music and other styles in which they sing and play a wide range of percussion instruments.

The Region Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Czech Ond_ej Kukal also perform works of Antonin Dvorak Czech Belluga Square.

Livika percussion group will perform in the San Basilio pergola while the lowest in the Plaza de Toros will stage three concerts: the Quartet Bossa Nova, Cuban Ramón Fabián and Lafra quartet and jazz with klezmer and Central Europe.

La Puerta Falsa host the performance of Al-Mouraria Portuguese fado to submit enriched with flutes, violas, saxophones, accordions and guitars Portuguese.

Murcia will wake up Saturday with the sacred music of Schola Gregoriana, Choir Cororao, Ars Mvsica, Coral Morales Discantus and Ensemble will present two concerts and songs that serve three masses in the churches of Santa Catalina, Santa Eulalia, San Nicolás, San Lorenzo and San Pedro.

At 13 pm in the Plaza de la Cruz, HaĂŻdouti Orkestar offer popular rhythms with melodies and jazz-inspired compositions.

Also performing at 20 pm in the Garden of Floridablanca.

Music, dance and choreography Dhoad Gispsy of Rajasthan come to the Plaza del Romea and Plaza de Santa Eulalia.

Altair Ensemble presented at the Wall of the Rincon de Pepe, a show designed to inform the public of classical compositions of Morocco, Turkey, Syria and Egypt.

The Jews Brothers Band will ring in the klezmer Basabé Street century.

The tenth edition of the Festival Murcia Tres Culturas complete its programming with Dulsori Belluga Square, one of the leading groups in the eastern Overview of World Music, which will offer a show based on traditional Korean percussion.
