The President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today reaffirmed its commitment to the University of Murcia during the act of imposing academic scholarships and closing of the activities planned to mark the Silver Jubilee of the Faculty of Informatics.
During the ceremony, held at the Social Centre College, Campus de Espinardo, we proceeded to the imposition of scholarships to students of Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering and Systems Engineering in Computer Management.
It also proceeded with the delivery of several awards, including Timur Prize for the best final year project, which went to Stephen Molina of Claramonte and where finalists Juan Manuel Carrillo de Gea and Juan José Lozano Gómez.
Were named Jose Francisco Daute, Timur and the Seneca Foundation.
The dean of the Faculty, José Manuel García, made a tour through the major milestones of the XXV anniversary of the center, while the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, highlighted the support received from the Autonomous Region in recent years and Funds ERDF.
Cobacho also stressed that the University of Murcia is the public university curricula that are most adapted to the European Space for next year, to reach the figure of 38.
For his part, President of the Regional Executive referred to the human aspect of the act, with the delivery of borders and distinctions, and had a memory for the teacher of the center Manuel Sanchez, who died recently.
Among the attendees was also the Minister of Universities, Salvador Marin, and Chairman of the Board of the University of Murcia, Juan Bernal.
