One hundred residents learn gardening and participating in the contest organized by the Federation balconies of the City Neighborhood Association.
This is an activity that is part of the campaign 'Put nature in your life' within the program 'Murcia, a city to live. "
The Councillor for Environment and Urban Quality, Adela Martinez-Cacho, yesterday joined the group to participate in a hands-on gardening, which was held at the Municipal Nurseries, and in which participants learned to prune, transplant, remove cuttings and the different plants used to decorate the Town Hall gardens.
Around a hundred residents were enrolled in this program that began in December and consists of lectures, given by Fernando Son and gardening practices, provided by municipal employees, and participation in the Contest Ornamental Balconies.
This initiative of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of the Municipality in cooperation with the city of Murcia, has been welcomed by neighbors.
Jury members are already visiting and photographing the patios, terraces and balconies that participate in the contest.
The awards ceremony will be held in June.
The Federation of Neighborhood Associations of the City intended that this project will start again in November.
