The regional government has approved a grant of 96,712 euros to the University of Murcia (UMU) to launch a project to research and development of software technologies and modernization of developing this educational institution.

The aid granted by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research in the framework of the Science and Technology of Murcia 2007-2010, will be devoted to the acquisition of apparatus, equipment and consumables, and other resources.

The UMU has a research group Software Engineering pioneer in Spain developing this project as a result of his experience in two previous projects.

The aid will help to strengthen this line of modernization.
