IU + Greens requires the immediate execution of the protocol to suppress power line Espinardo El Palmar, passing through the village of El Palmar (15/05/2009)

In the motion presented at the next regular full-May that has been advanced by 21 days, Esther Herguedas recalls that the October 9, 2006 the City of Murcia, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and Iberdrola signed a protocol in the amount of € 460,000 - funded by both government-to suppress power line Espinardo El Palmar, passing through the village of El Palmar.

Under the agreement, Iberdrola agreed to draft the new line, with a length of 2 km, and run the electrical work that would not affect residential areas, since they deviate from La Paloma to El Reguerón, then proceeding to dismantle the current leg.

Herguedas has complained that, although both the Popular Party, told the media, as the Press Office of the City of Murcia, promised that the work will be executed for the second half of 2007, from the date of signature in 2006 until today have not heard anything from the execution of this agreement and the power line is crossing El Palmar with the risk it may pose to the health of residents.

Specifically, the City Hall press release said "the work will begin immediately so that the removal of the line becomes effective as soon as possible.

So after Christmas there will be the written project and, once obtained the permits, the lead time is 6 months. "

In his motion Herguedas remember that these claims about the immediacy of the work was done a few months before the municipal elections of March 2007 in the building in June 2009 there are elections to the European Parliament and again it is time for promises, no is more that we all remember and we demand the fulfillment of unimplemented.
