Space Molinos del Rio Stables is hosting an exhibition of photojournalism Spanish (14/05/2009)

The collaboration between the city of Murcia and Caja Madrid Social Work has made it possible, under the International Festival Murcia Tres Culturas Space Molinos del Rio Stables hosting the exhibition "Heartbeat of a troubled world."

Co-produced by Lunwerg Cajamadrid Editorial and Social Work, the exhibition includes hundreds of images of ten Spanish photographers who meet for the first time to show conflicting scenarios of the past 30 years.

This proposal includes photographic documentary looks committed these renowned photographers around dramatic situations, which intends to claim the testimonial function of photography as a tool sensitizer reality.

Thus, it is described by the scenarios brunt of human barbarity from Portugal the Carnation Revolution until the devastating war in Iraq, including images of the Basque Country, Middle East or Yugoslavia.

As for the theme, the exhibition includes situations such as exclusion, gender violence, poverty, immigration and mutilation.

In the exhibition, in line with the philosophy of the Festival, intended us to reflect on situations of conflict and how through culture can break down barriers, including images that already have become true icons of photojournalism Spanish together with others that are virtually unprecedented.

Photographers in the sample are Sandra Balsells, Javier Bauluz, Clemente Bernad, Paco Elvira, Cristina García Rodero, Santiago Lyon, Kim Manresa, Enric Martí, Fernando Moleres and Gervasio Sanchez.

The exhibition will be open until June 14
