The State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT) has approved the software developed by the University of Murcia, which will convert paper invoices into electronic documents.
Murcia University becomes the first Spanish university to get approval from the AEAT certified for scanning invoices.
In the presentation software, held in the convalescence, the Vice Chancellor for Economic and Infrastructure, Antonio Calvo-Flores, spoke about the advantages of this software application that will improve efficiency and save administrative costs and physical space .
"Factum", which is the name the software, you can create valid and effective copies of invoices and equivalent documents to be issued on paper.
Thus, the system that will facilitate that work with the images of paper invoices, will apply to any document issued by the government or those provided by the citizens on paper.
These electronic copies shall have the same force and effect as the original, eliminating the need to preserve these documents on paper and getting the savings that was referred to the Vice Chancellor of Finance.
Antonio Merediz, special delegate of the Tax Agency of Murcia, and Maximino Linares, director of the Legal Service of the Tax Agency, stressed that the University of Murcia is a pioneer in many eGovernment projects and a great ally to move forward on initiatives that involve the development of information technology and communications.
The software released today is part of e-government actions that have been put in place to facilitate citizen interaction with this educational institution.
Among the more than fifty electronic procedures undertaken by the University include the digital signature for self-enrollment students, the introduction of records and ratings by teachers or electronic signature to the examination session with notice to students by email and sms.
Also it is worth noting the telematic transmission of payment orders, electronic accounting documents and the possibility of issuing digital invoices.
The event, chaired by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, also attended various management personnel and services involved in e-government project.
