It was held in Monterrey (Mexico) Global Consortium meeting OpenCourseWare project, under the banner of Content, Infrastructure and Quality, which was attended by about 100 people from various countries.
Note the presence of Spain, representatives of 13 universities and to Universia.
By attending the University of Murcia Pilar Arnaiz, Vice President for Innovation and convergence, and Maria Paz Espinosa Prendergast, E-Learning Coordinator.
In a plenary session dealt with the administrative aspects of the consortium.
Presented the results of the elections to the Board: Anka Mulder (Delft University), Edmundo Tovar (UPM), Jose Escamilla (Tec de Monterrey), Mena Hwang (Korea University), and as an affiliate member, Creative Commons International, represented by Catharina Maracke.
It also approved amendments to the statutes relating to the frequency of meetings of the consortium (an annual meeting) and the different types of membership.
The annual meeting will continue rotating for a member country, having agreed to host the 2010 in Hanoi (Vietnam), and requesting proposals to host the 2011.
The remaining days were devoted to trying different themes, including: the strategic plan and business plan, financial aspects, issues of copyright, metadata, categories of membership and membership fees, educational services, evaluation mechanisms, access and eduCommons accessibility and training.
Murcia University presented a paper in which he realized the process followed in the implementation of the OCW project, presented the Site OCW (http://ocw.um.es/) and established quality system development of digital materials before they are published in open.
