A college course examines the consequences of the Sea of Civil War literature (12/05/2009)

As the world marks 70 years after the end of the Spanish Civil War, a course at the University of the Sea International discusses the impact the war had for our country, especially for the group was forced into exile to survive, and their influence on literature, with particular emphasis on cases Murcia.

The course, entitled "Seventy years later.

Spanish exile in historical memory, "is directed by professors at the University of Murcia César Oliva, Encarna Nicolás and Mariano de Paco, and will run in the College Azarbe between days 13 to 15 May.

Among the speakers will include professors from universidassdes of Oviedo, Barcelona, UNED and Murcia.

Murcia in exile, exile in Mexico and France, Theatre and exile, or Poetry and exile are some of the topics covered in the course, which will make a special reference to two famous exiles from Murcia Mariano Ruiz-Funes, the Minister of Justice Agriculture and the Second Spanish Republic and a law professor at the University of Murcia, and the writer Malacitano José Ricardo Morales.

The course offers the opportunity to see the most important piece of political theater of Rafael Alberti, written in 1956 in Argentina during his exile in a film version as a live theatrical performance.

On Thursday, the film "Night of War in the Prado Museum," a performance film of 2003 directed by Ricard Salvat, while on Friday 15, and closing the course, development of the representation of the same work by Aula de Teatro de la Universidad de Murcia.
