The University of Murcia has hosted morning during "The Apollonian and Bacchic in the Three Cultures" (11/05/2009)

On Tuesday 12 May at 18.30 am in the Hall of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Luce Lope-Baralt, of Rio Piedras University of Puerto Rico, will open the course The Apollonian and Bacchic in Three Cultures with a lecture on literature from the previous secret Muslims. The course, built into the X Murcia Three Cultures International Festival, is directed by José María Jiménez Cano and held until 19 May.

On Wednesday 13 May at 17:30, Dr. Asunción Blasco Martínez, University of Zaragoza, will talk about wine as a holiday ritual in medieval Hispano world.

At 18.30 hours, Angel Luis Molina, University of Murcia, will host a conference entitled The eroticism through late medieval Spanish literature.

On Thursday 14 May at 17.30 hours, Fatiha Benalabbah, director of the Instituto de Estudios Hispano-Luso Mohammed V University, Agdal Rabat, will speak on "A brief lexicon of love in Islam." At 18, 30 hours Francesco Zannini, Istituto di Studi Arabi papal e di Islamist.

Rome will host a conference entitled L'anima popolare nella Muslim Religiosità

On Friday May 15 be two conferences: 17.30 Xavier Medina, Open University of Catalonia, UOC.

Barcelona, will speak on the Feast of Bacchus: Wine and food tourism in Europe and the Mediterranean. At 18.30 hours, Dr. D.

Dr. Joaquín Arnau Amo, Polytechnic University of Valencia, will address the issue of Dionysus and Apollo in the "Rocks" Corpus Valencia.

The course will continue on Monday 18 May at 17.30 hours, with the conference polarity Apollonian - Bacchic in the mystical language of San Juan de la Cruz, by Stefano Arduini, University of Urbino.

Italy, and 18.30 hours with a talk Love / Passion / Compassion: Emotion as a form of relationship with the divinity of Dr. Estrella Ruiz - Gálvez, University of Caen in France.

On Tuesday May 19 this academic year will close with two presentations: at 17.30 hours, the cup of love, eroticism and wine in Islam, by Dr. Paul Beneito Arias of the Universidad de Murcia, and 18 hours The Sephardim of the East and the joy of Purim religious observance and transgression, by Dr. Paloma Díaz, Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas in Madrid.
