Professor, University of Murcia Romero Diego Garcia has won the prize OpenCourseWare, organized by the Universia network in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Innovation to promote the open dissemination of educational material on the Internet.
García Romero picked up the award after the Board Universia, held in Madrid and attended a performance at the University of Murcia headed by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho.
Universia is the largest network of universities around the world and currently has with 1,100 educational institutions in fifteen countries, representing almost one million students and teachers a figure of close to 900,000.
The shareholders' meeting, attended, along with Cobacho, the rector of Students, Maribel Sanchez-Mora, was chaired by Emilio Botin, chairman of Banco Santander, promoter of Universia.
